About Us
Families Traveling
We are a family based in the Midwest region of the U.S.A. and we like to travel as much as possible, whether for a weekend road trip, a Caribbean cruise or global adventure. We often make plans on short notice and are committed to finding the best deals by exploring multiple options. This website was created to share some of our favorite spots and provide inspiration for your next adventure.
In November 2025 we publish our first puzzle book! Available for purchase on Amazon now, readers will enjoy learning historical facts about each state before trying their hand at finding hidden words associated with each of the 50 states in the U.S. Over 100 pages will keep you occupied on your next road trip or flight. I don’t mind splurging for luxury destinations when it’s worth it. Rome, Greece and Norway are on my wish list! My travel experience skews towards major cities in America as well as many Caribbean islands.

As a working dad and professional storm chaser, a natural sense of direction on road trips and finding bargains are my super power.

Getting the best deal can take hours and days of researching alternative dates, hotels and airlines but it’s worth it in the end. As a professional storm chaser and volunteer firefighter, I go where the adventure is at a moment’s notice and am no stranger to taking the road less traveled. My dream getaway is in a cabin in the woods with no city lights so I can catch great views of stars and planets with a telescope.

I like warm weather and places I can explore natural history like museums. I also like tropical resorts and cruise ships in the Caribbean.

My favorite trips include tropical islands like Jamaica, for the hot weather and pool time. I’m not a fan of going up narrow roads on mountains, and I think it’s boring when we visit museums.
